Black and White vs. Shades of Grey
Sherry’s thoughts inspired by random observations:
Number one
As children we were guided by self interest and we thought pretty much in black and white. We developed opinions and as we assimilated more information, we revise those opinions for most of our lives. The ability to look beyond ourselves and to see an issue from several points of view or many shade of grey displays the degree of our maturity. We can still hold to our own beliefs and opinions while allowing others the dignity of their slant on an issue. Sometimes we are all saying the same thing in different words. Unfortunately, some remain stuck in their self interest and the black and white of immaturity.
You must believe in and want the results of your endeavor otherwise you will not do what is necessary to overcome the negatives.
